Elementary Renaissance
What is Renaissance?
What is it & How are Cards Earned?
Renaissance is a quarterly recognition system for behavior, academics, and attendance. Renaissance assemblies will take place at the end of every quarter for grades 1st through 5th to recognize the students who have earned a Renaissance card.
1st grade has two levels of recognition. Students can either earn a Silver or White card. 2nd - 5th grade students are potentially eligible for one of four levels of cards in ranked order:
- Blue (Highest level)
- Green (Second highest level)
- Black (Third highest level)
- Silver (Teachers choice-these cards should only be given to students who have tried hard/excelled in personal growth over the quarter but did not make the cut for the other three levels.)
Each quarter teachers will utilize report card information to determine whether students will receive a card and at what level. The information to determine this will be gathered in a form that will calculate points to determine what card is earned. Any office referrals over the quarter will result in automatic ineligibility for a Renaissance card. See below for a breakdown of card requirements and the points needed to earn the different levels.
