Holiday Food Drive!
What: Holiday food drive partnering with Security Fire Department Auxiliary to support local families
When: Tuesday, November 12th - Friday, November 15th**
**Friday, November 15th is Bring a Frozen Turkey Day! (each frozen turkey = 20 items!)
Why: To help and support local families in need
Goal: School-wide goal = 2,000 items (if we reach our goal we will get 2 microwaves for the cafeteria for students to use!)
POD Competitions: The grade-level in each pod who brings the most items will win a special spirit day activity!
For the POD competitions: Kinder will compete against the front office, counselors, specials/electives, custodians, and SSPs. Basically any staff who does not have a classroom. :)
The rest are as follows:
1st vs. 2nd
5th vs. 6th
7th vs. 8th
Student Council will be coming around each morning during the first 15 minutes to collect and count items donated from the classrooms.

Canned Foods: Soups, fruits, vegetables, pie fillings, cranberry sauce
Canned Meats: Tuna, chicken
Dry Goods: Instant potatoes, pasta
$1.00 donated = 1 item donated
Friday, November 15th is Donate a Turkey Day! Bring a FROZEN turkey to the truck parked in front of the school before school starts.
*All donations need to be nonperishable. Please check expiration dates to be sure donations have not expired and will not expire for a while.
